CAROL TASCHNER: liked bookkeeping best of all the courses; was in the Pep Club and Senior Tri-Hi-Y; would do office work in the future.
MARSHA TAYLOR: “Mar” selected shorthand and biology; participated in Tri-Hi-Y and the Pep Club; planned to attend Miss Hickey’s School for Secretaries.
BARBARA TEBBE: “Barb” favored secretarial practice and United States History; enjoyed all sports—especially skating and bowling; hoped to study at the University of Kansas.
RICHARD TEKOTT (Deceased): “Rich” elected United States History, bookkeeping, and Math; collected all kinds of stamps; played in both the Band and the Orchestra; in the future would attend Washington University.
ROSEMARIE TIERNEY (Deceased): preferred shorthand and United States History; for recreation went swimming and played the piano; wanted to attend a secretarial school.
PETER TOCCO (Deceased): “Pete” elected shop, Math, and art; went hunting and fishing in spare hours; had made no definite plans for the future.
ROBERT TOENISKOETTER (Deceased): “Bob” favored United States History over other studies; would attend college but had made no definite choice of a school.
NANCY TUCKER: “Nance” enjoyed history and Spanish; liked to carve figures in soap and to go horse-back riding; belonged to the Bible Club and played in the Orchestra; wished to become on Airline Hostess.
DONALD UMBRIGHT: “Don” liked mechanical and architectural drawing best of all; collected coins as a hobby; hoped to become a draftsman.
SHARON UNLAND: “Sharry” voted for physics, biology, and art; sketched and painted in leisure hours; was a member of the Bible Club and played in the Orchestra; wanted to enroll in the University of Missouri.
ELIZABETH VASEL: “Betty” preferred the classes in typing and foods; was in Co-operative Occupational Education; would attend a business school and then do office work.
MILES VEST: enjoyed all the Social Studies; spent leisure time working on cars; belonged to Hi-Y, the Letterman’s Club, sang in the Mixed Chorus and the Boys’ Chorus; would enroll in the University of Missouri.
SHARON VOSS: “Sha” enjoyed English and typing most of all; liked all sports and modern dancing; took part in Co-operative Occupational Education and Senior Tri-Hi-Y; hoped to become a service representative for Bell Telephone Company.
BETTY WAGNER (Deceased): selected United Sates History and Spanish; liked to do embroidering; participated in the Girls’ Chorus, the Creative Writers’ Club, and Quill and Scroll; was the Literary Editor of the Saga; would major in elementary education at Southeast Missouri State College.
LEE WALTERS: favored typing and Gym; went camping and fishing quite often; would major in mechanical engineering at the Missouri School of Mines and Metallurgy.
GERALD WANDLING (Deceased): “Jerry” preferred architectural drawing and Gym; hoped to study at Washington University.
JOSEPH WARNER: “Joe” preferred sociology and physics; wanted to major in electronics at the Missouri School of Mines.
HARRIET WEEKS: favored English and Spanish; belonged to Tri-Hi-Y, Mixed Chorus, Choralettes, Vikingettes, Pep Club, Quill and Scroll, and Orchesis; was president of Tri-Hi-Y and a Page Editor of the Courier; would enroll in De Pauw University.
DAVID WELTNER: selected English, sociology, and government; was a member of Quill and Scroll; was Organizations Editor of the Saga; would study law at Washington University.
MARTHA WELTY: liked all the commercial subjects; enjoyed going swimming; participated in Pep Club and Girls’ Chorus; hoped to enroll in Southeast Missouri State College.
DARLENE WENTA: voted for typing and shorthand; liked to read in spare hours; took part in all girls’ sports; wanted to do office work.
JANET WEST: “Jan” chose sociology and history as favorites; was a member of Tri-Hi-Y; plans for the future were indefinite.
RONALD WESTENHAVER: “Ron” enjoyed Math and contemporary problems; belonged to Co-operative Occupational Education; would major in accounting at the University of Missouri.
ELIZABETH WESTERMANN: “Betty” selected English, health, and clothing; liked to skate and sew in leisure time; was a member of Co-operative Occupational Education and the Pep Club; planned to attend a small college.
HAROLD WILDERMAN (Deceased): “Hal” chose mechanical drawing above other courses; went swimming, hunting, and boating; participated in Hi-Y and Letterman’s Club; wanted to study mechanical drawing but had made no choice of a college.
CHARLES WILLIAMS: “Chuck” preferred physics and drafting; took part in Hi-Y and Track; would enroll in the University of Missouri.
JEAN WILLIAMS: liked English and sociology most of all; played the piano and went swimming as hobbies; belonged to Tri-Hi-Y, Bible Club, Mixed Chorus, and Pep Club; was Co-Editor of Organizations for the Saga; would take Nurses training at St. Luke’s Hospital.
PAMELA WILLIAMS (Deceased): “Pam” elected sociology and Economic Geography; liked all sports; took part in Saga, Tri-Hi-Y, Pep Club, Vikingettes, and Mixed Chorus; would take a liberal arts course at the University of Missouri.
WARNER WILLIAMS: chose physics as the best liked subject; enjoyed working with electronic devices; played in the Band and Orchestra; won a scholarship to Lake Forest.
BARBARA WILLIAMSON: favored bookkeeping and typing; played all sports; would attend Southeast Missouri State College.
RONALD WILLIFORD (Deceased): “Beaver” selected United States History and architectural drawing; belonged to Hi-Y, Letterman’s Club, and the Basketball Team; planned to enroll in the University of Missouri.
RICHARD WOERNER: “Rich” liked Math and chemistry best; participated in Hi-Y, Creative Writers, and Quill and Scroll; was Business Manager of the Saga; would study at Washington University.
HELEN WOODS: “Boonie” chose drama and band as favorite subjects; organized own singing group; in the future planned to continue singing and possibly to attend Mound City Business College.
GLENDA YORTY: preferred art and United States History; belonged te the Coe-Ed dancers, the Pep Club, and the Photography Club; won a gold key in the Scholastic Art Awards Contest; was the treasurer at the Art Society; would major in art at Washington University.
GLORIA YORTY: enjoyed both the art and the United States History classes; was a member of the Art Society and the square dancing group; was the vice-president at the Pep Club; won a gold key in the Scholastic Art Awards Contest; would enroll in the School of Fine Arts at Washington University.
ANITA YOUNT: selected bookkeeping and Senior Homemaking; far recreation liked to go swimming; hoped to become a secretary sometime in the future.
ROBERT YOUNT: “Bob” liked architectural drawing more than any other high school course; enjoyed going hunting; would enter the business world soon after graduation.
